SNATCHD ("we," "our," or "us") is a treasure hunting app that connects art lovers with hidden artwork drops across South Florida. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Password (encrypted and securely stored)
• Profile information you choose to provide

Location Data

We collect your location to help you discover art drops near you in South Florida. Location data is used to:

• Show nearby drops on your map
• Filter drops by neighborhood
• Verify you're in range when claiming a drop

You can disable location access in your device settings, though this will limit app functionality.

NFC Interactions

When you tap NFC tags at hint stations to unlock clues, we record:

• Which station you visited
• When you tapped the tag
• Which hints were unlocked

This helps us track your progress and prevents the same hint from being unlocked twice.

Photo Uploads

Artists upload images of their artwork to create drops. These images are:

• Stored securely on Amazon S3
• Used only to display the artwork within the app
• Not shared with third parties

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and improve the SNATCHD experience
• Show you relevant drops in your area
• Track your hint unlocks and claimed artwork
• Send important account notifications
• Prevent fraud and maintain security

What We Don't Do

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers and protected using industry-standard encryption. We use:

• HTTPS for all data transmission
• Encrypted password storage
• Secure cloud infrastructure (AWS)

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where we're required to keep it for legal purposes.
